Welcome to Voluptuous You.

I am Desiree, a full figure woman who is very happy with all of my curves and assets. As a child growing up, I was always the "big girl", the one that stood out. Being taller than the rest and having defined curves, I became very interested in making my own clothes.

My aunt and cousins were excellent dressmakers, so I learned from them. My mother didn't sew, but she was a great supvervisor. And so began my path.

I would go to Woolworth or McCory's on my lunch break to study patterns and fabric. This is where I found my natural talent for design. I could make anything as long as I had a clear picture of it in my head. I learned that the fabric would always tell me what it wanted to do. For the most part, that turned out better than I anticipated. Soon friends and strangers off the street wanted my designs.

As the years have gone by, I earned more curves and added a little more to my assets. Going beyond fashion sample size 8, proved to be a challenge at first. But then I discovered I was quite good at coming up with designs that were flattering and pleasing to the eye for my new figure.

Thus "Voluptuous You".

The word voluptuous suggests "sensual pleasure by fullness and beauty of form". My desire is to create beautiful designs that compliment the full figure woman. My goal is create fabulous fashions that make you the center of attention.
